As we prepare to embark on the new year, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the incredible journey we shared in 2024 and to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and warm welcome as I stepped into my new role as President.
This past year we’ve enjoyed connecting with so many new and old friends at our events across the state. We continue to foster a sense of community and collaboration that truly sets our organization apart and I am proud of what we’ve accomplished.
Some highlights:
- Our members – You all have shown up in so many ways! Some of our most attended events were the Austin Fall Happy Hour, Dallas Holiday Luncheon, Fort Worth Holiday luncheon and San Antonio’s New Year: Organizing is Art with Order. Your commitment to our organization is appreciated.
- Our sponsors – We extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors. Without the corporations and individuals that support us we couldn’t do this. Thank you so much for seeing the importance of TXWSW to our members and the Young Women’s Preparatory Network (YWPN). We look forward to a continued partnership in 2025.
- Our service – Through our collaboration with the YWPN we have successfully engaged our members and sponsors to facilitate various initiatives through not only our financial contributions but our time as well. These include hosting Lunch and Learns at multiple YWPN schools, sharing career insights at YWPN alumni networking events, providing coaching on financial planning fundamentals, and mentoring high school seniors. Helping support the next generation of leaders continues to be at the heart of our mission.
Looking ahead to 2025, I am thrilled to share that we have an array of dynamic and engaging events planned that promise to inspire, educate, and connect us even further. From our marquee State of the Markets event in April to a variety of networking and educational events throughout the year, there is something for everyone to look forward to in each of our cities. Details of these events will be shared on our website and our newsletter so continue to engage with us there.
To sustain and expand our efforts, we will be making slight adjustments to our membership fees, effective February 12th. This marks the first increase in membership fees since our establishment over ten years ago. We believe these changes are essential to support our growing initiatives and to maintain the high-quality programs and services we provide.
The updated membership fees are as follows:
- Senior members: $145
- Regular members: $115
- Nonprofit: $95
- Men’s: $75
- Students: $25 (unchanged)
Thank you once again for your incredible support and for making 2024 a year to remember. I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to achieving even greater success together in 2025!
Best,
Ashleigh White
