Texas Wall Street Women (TXWSW) was formed to bring together women in the finance industry no matter which specific area they are in. Our members come from hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms, mutual funds, public pensions, endowments, foundations, wealth management firms, investment banks, attorneys, accountants, and other money-management and service provider firms. We also welcome those individuals in government and non-profit entities in the financial industry as well as students that wish to pursue a career in finance and those looking to return to the industry.
TXWSW is an exclusive and inclusive non-profit peer network of professional women who are committed to developing and growing professionally, making a difference in our community, and supporting one another as we pursue our goals. We help our members achieve their goals through the programming and opportunities we provide in professional development, networking, and philanthropy.
Networking & Mentorship: We offer a full schedule of both in person and virtual networking events as well as the tools to help our members build an effective professional network that will serve them in their careers and beyond. We believe that women supporting other women offers the best opportunities for success for all of us.
Education: Our programming is focused on offering professional development in the areas that uniquely help our women reach their career goals. Whether it is hard skills like resume writing, negotiation training or leadership skills or ones that focus on the unique stresses of our industry, the aim is always to help our members on their path to success as they define it.
Philanthropy: We give back to our community through our decade plus long partnership with the Young Women’s Preparatory Network (www.ywpn.org). YWPN runs a network of 11 all-girls college preparatory public schools across Texas. The work they do is literally life-changing for these economically disadvantaged children. The Network has achieved 100% graduation rates from high school, amazing scholarship packages and a college graduation rate of twice the national average for underserved students. In addition to raising money to help support YWPN’s college readiness programs, our members volunteer at the schools to support various programs including college-bound mentorship, career day and financial literacy.
Currently, our organization is active in Austin, Dallas and Houston holding events monthly in each of these cities. We also have a growing membership base in Fort Worth and San Antonio and host events in those cities periodically.
Not from here? Membership in TXWSW is the fastest way to build your network here. We welcome women, and the men who support us, wherever y’all are from!
