Lilian Y. Zhou is the founder and portfolio manager of Yulan Capital Management. She is responsible for idea generation, research of investment ideas and portfolio/risk management for the fund.
Ms. Zhou has spent the last eight years analyzing and investing in Chinese companies. Prior to founding Yulan, Ms. Zhou specialized in Asia and Global L/S Equities at Citadel LLC. Prior to Citadel, Ms. Zhou was Director of China Equities at an Asia-dedicated Tiger cub fund in New York, and Vice President at Bear Stearns & Co. Inc.
Ms. Zhou was born and raised in Shanghai, China. She was selected to receive full scholarship from Columbia University where she graduated summa cum laude with B.A. degrees in Mathematics-Statistics and Economics. She received her MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated as a Palmer Scholar. Ms. Zhou is a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
