Leah R. Bennett, CFA, has 25 years of experience in the investment industry and has held various C-suite roles over the past six years. Currently, she is Chief Operating Officer of Westwood Trust. Previously, she was with South Texas Money management, where she was the Co-Chief Investment Officer. Prior to that, she served with King Investment Advisors, Inc., where she was a Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer as well as a member of the firm’s investment advisory group. She currently serves as the CFA Institute Presidents Council Representative for the Southwest and Central United States region, and is a former president and director of CFA Society Houston. Ms. Bennett is a co-founder the CFA Women in Investment Management initiative and a co-founder of the CFA Institute Global Research Challenge – Southwest. She received her BS in economics from Texas A&M University.
