Kal Grant serves as Managing Director, Philanthropy Services at Tolleson Wealth Management. As the head of Philanthropy Services, Kal leads a team of experienced professionals in providing non-profit clients with strategies to meet their administrative, structural and investment needs. She also advises individual clients by identifying and implementing strategies that meet each client’s philanthropic goals.
Prior to joining Tolleson Wealth Management, Kal was a managing director with the JPMorgan Private Bank. While with JPMorgan, she assisted high net worth clients and non-profit clients with comprehensive financial, tax and structure planning. Prior to joining JP Morgan, she was a Partner with Thompson & Knight, LLP, where she dealt with income taxation, estate planning and non-profit organizations. She began her legal career as an associate with McAfee & Taft in Oklahoma City.
Kal earned a Bachelor in Business Administration at Southern Methodist University, where she was a Presidents Scholar, University Scholar and National Merit Scholar. She went on to obtain a law degree at Texas Tech University as a Regents Scholar, graduating summa cum laude. She later returned to Southern Methodist University to complete a Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation.
Kal is active in the local community and serves as a board member of the North Texas Partnership for Philanthropic Planning and the Dallas Estate Planning Council. She is also a board member of The Child Care Group and a member of the advisory board of Communities Foundation of Texas. She serves as a volunteer for Texas Lawyers Helping Lawyers and is a member of the Southern Methodist University Planned Giving Council.
