TXWSW Members,

Good morning!

We have an exciting update on our speakers for the State of the Markets, plus amazing upcoming events. Interested in volunteering and making a difference in your community? Find more details below.

Thank You | 14th Annual State of the Markets

Last Thursday, the 14th Annual State of the Markets convened the decision-makers shaping institutional capital at the Arts District Mansion in Dallas for an afternoon of substantive dialogue on allocation, positioning and the forces redefining the markets ahead.

Our members, guests, and attendees brought the caliber of engagement that defines this community. The relationships formed and the questions raised reflect the standard TXWSW has built over fourteen years, and we are grateful for every seat filled.

Behind every element of the program stood a team of volunteers whose operational excellence made the afternoon possible. Thank you for the work the room does not see.

Our Energy Panel delivered a rigorous examination of how the transition is being navigated at the institutional level. Thank you to Carolyn Hansard of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas and Mark Hiduke of HOG Resources, and to Christine Breck, CFA, Principal of Breck Capital Advisors and Chairman of TXWSW, for moderating the subject with the precision it required.

The CIO Panel opened a candid discussion on allocation strategy, market positioning, and capital deployment. Our thanks to Dhruv Maniktala of True North Advisors and Western Alternative Strategies, Raquel Chmielewski of Fikes Family Office, Natalie Jenkins Sorrell of the Employees’ Retirement Fund of the City of Dallas, and David Morehead of Baylor University Office of Investments, with Lindsay Schneider, Partner and Head of RIA and Family Offices at Ares Wealth Management Solutions, guiding the conversation.

The young women of the Young Women’s Preparatory Network who addressed the room are the measure of this mission. Their presence and their words are why the work continues.

Finally, to our Presenting Sponsor, Ares Management, and our 2026 supporting sponsors, A&O Shearman, Ascension Search Partners, Armanino Advisory, BakerHostetler, Balyasny Asset Management, Cambridge Associates, CohnReznick, Crestline, KPMG, Paradigm Advisors, Wanda Potts, Sixth Street, SummitTX, Weaver, and Winstead, thank you. Your continued partnership advances YWPN’s scholarship and mentorship work across Texas.
