Carolyn Hansard is currently a Managing Director and Portfolio Head for the Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure portfolio at the Teacher Retirement System of Texas. She has primary responsibility for the 6% target allocation to fund and principal investments in both equity and credit mandates in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors. She is also a member of the Investment Committee and Management Committee for the Trust. Prior to joining TRS, Ms. Hansard spent 17 years at Merrill Lynch in New York, London and Tokyo. While at Merrill Lynch, Carolyn held several senior management positions throughout the Capital Markets division and represented Merrill Lynch on several corporate boards. Ms. Hansard began her professional career with Arthur Anderson as a consultant. Carolyn has an MBA and BS, both from the University of Texas. She has served on numerous non-profit boards in both New York and Austin and is currently on the Advisory Board for University of Texas McCombs School of Business and the KBH Energy Center at UT Austin, as well as the Advisory Board for Women in Energy.

Mark Hiduke

President & CEO

Mark Hiduke is the founder and President & CEO of HOG Resources, where he leads a team focused on acquiring and developing oil and gas assets across the Permian, Haynesville, and Western Anadarko basins. Since 2022, HOG Resources has deployed over $230 million across four projects and achieved more than 1.2 million barrels of gross oil production. The company’s natural gas venture, Boss HOG Resources, was recently acquired by Rockliff Energy III.

Mark previously founded PCORE I and II, completing successful development and monetization of Midland and Delaware Basin assets backed by Natural Gas Partners, including a $150 million sale of PCORE I to Parsley Energy and a strategic merger of PCORE II with Tap Rock Resources. Before entrepreneurship, he led over $6 billion in transactions as Supervisor of A&D at Pioneer Natural Resources and began his career in energy investment banking in Houston and Calgary.

He holds an MBA, BBA, and BS from SMU and has been recognized by Who’s Who in EnergyOil & Gas Investor’s 30 Under 40D Magazine, and EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year.

Christine Breck, CFA

Christine has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry. In 2000, she joined Source Trading, a broker/dealer that served institutional investors including hedge funds, state agencies, mutual funds, and family offices. In addition to business development for the trading business, Christine raised over $1 billion in assets for a select few of the firm’s hedge fund clients.

Prior to joining Source, Christine was a Relationship Manager group head for five years at the Bank of New York. While in New York, she ran the Endowment and Foundation Group, and then in London she was responsible for the insurance industry team. Previously, she held positions in commercial finance at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken and the Bank of Darien.

In 2008, she founded Texas Wall Street Women, a not-for-profit networking and philanthropic group for women in the financial industry in Texas (www.txwsw.com). The organization has over 3,000 members across the state and hosts events in Dallas, Austin, and Houston each month using an all-volunteer staff. On the philanthropy side, the organization supports the college readiness programs at the schools founded by the Young Women’s Preparatory Network through both financial contributions and volunteerism.

Christine received a BA in French from Connecticut College and is a CFA charterholder. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher. Christine holds the following FINRA licenses: 7, 24, 50, 55, 63 & 79. She served for two years as the co-chairman of the Trader/Portfolio Manager Peer Advisory Committee for 100 Women in Hedge Funds in New York and started the Texas Chapter of 100 WHF. She currently serves on the board of the Young Women’s Preparatory Network. She is an avid golfer and lives in Austin, TX with her husband and two frenchies.

Raquel Chmielewski

Raquel Chmielewski is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at a single-family office in Dallas, managing and coordinating all aspects of investment activities consistent with its mission, objectives and established policies. Raquel joined the family office after over five years as Director of Investments at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) endowment, doing total portfolio investment and management. Raquel previously served as a private markets investor at Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company (LMIMCo) for eight years, where she co-managed strategy and investing for its global private equity, venture capital and distressed debt funds. Prior to that she was a venture capital associate at Columbia Capital and in Financial Sponsors Group investment banking at JPMorgan.

Raquel has served on the board of the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) for two terms and holds a BA and MA in Economics from Boston University and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Natalie Jenkins Sorrell

Employees’ Retirement Fund (EFR), City of Dallas

Natalie Jenkins Sorrell is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for the $4.0 billion Employees’ Retirement Fund (EFR) of the City of Dallas.  Natalie is responsible for the design and implementation of the overall investment strategy and policy for the Fund. She joined Dallas ERF in 2006 and has spearheaded efforts to fulfill new private equity, private real estate, global equity, master limited partnership (MLP), and opportunistic credit allocations of over one billion collectively. Natalie has led the effort to build the Next Generation Manager Program at ERF, allocating up to fifteen percent of the Fund to smaller and new investment managers across all asset classes. 

Her career in finance began in the mergers & acquisitions group in investment banking at J.P. Morgan in New York City where she specialized in real estate and media transactions.  She later joined GE Equity, GE Capital’s private equity arm based in Stamford, CT, focusing on investments in both the healthcare and finance sectors.  After graduate school Natalie worked in both global strategy and finance director roles at publishers McGraw-Hill in New York City, and Voyager Expanded Learning based in Dallas, Texas.  

Natalie was a selected as a German Marshall Fellow, and as the recipient of the Rising Star of Public Funds Award from Institutional Investor News. She was selected as one of the Dallas Business Journal’s 40 Under Forty, and one of the highlighted 40 Under Forty Investment Officers in the financial publication aiCIO. Natalie served on the boards of Big Thought, the Dallas Metropolitan YMCA, and on the Advisory Board for the endowment of St. Phillip’s Academy in Dallas. Natalie also served two terms on the Board of Managers of the Parkland Health and Hospital System.

Natalie holds an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania where she was a Robert A. Toigo Fellow, and a B.A. with honors from Spelman College.

Dhruv Maniktala

Dhruv Maniktala is the Chief Investment Officer at True North Advisors & Western Alternative Strategies and has over two decades of experience in the investment industry, spanning both public and private markets. Dhruv manages the initiatives of the Investment Team across traditional and alternative investments, including private equity, energy, real estate, and hedge funds. He also leads the Investment Committee at the firm.

Dhruv has served in various capacities across a broad spectrum of private and public markets. His Project finance and M&A roles in the private markets were focused on acquisitions of power and water infrastructure assets in Europe, Caribbean, South America and the US, including the acquisition and nationalization of the water and power assets of Jamaica. Some of his other experiences include evaluating power projects across Hungary, Germany and UK, LNG terminal and natural gas pipeline projects in South America, and water desalinization projects in the Caribbean.

During his time at Russell Investment Group, a global institutional consultant that advices on about $3 trillion in assets* for firms like AT&T, Boeing, Nestle, Toyota and Shell, Dhruv worked closely with the Chief Strategist to develop tactical asset allocation models and was the member of the research team that ranked in the top three in terms of performance amongst all Russell teams worldwide. In the public markets, Dhruv served as an Equity Analyst at Wachovia focusing on domestic and international equities. He also managed asset allocation, portfolio construction, and manager selection across private and public markets at a multi-family office where he was a Principal of the firm.

Dhruv received his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the globally renowned Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) that counts the CEOs of Google and Twitter, among others, as its graduates, and attended the University of Georgia on a full scholarship where he earned his MBA and majored in Corporate Finance, Investments and Quantitative Analysis. Dhruv is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Dallas/Fort Worth. He serves on the RIA Advisory Board of Research Affiliates and is on the Investment Committee of IFG.

David Morehead

Dave Morehead joined the Baylor University Office of Investments in 2011 and currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer. From 2019-2024, Mr. Morehead co-taught the Large Cap and Small Cap practicum classes at Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business. Previously, he was a senior portfolio manager at several Chicago-based hedge funds where he managed securities across the corporate capital structure in strategies focused on public and private energy investments, along with corporate relative value and distressed investing.  He spent time performing equity research on the transportation/logistics and specialty retail sectors at William Blair & Company and was responsible for the risk management of the interest rate derivatives desk at Bank of America and its predecessor firm, NationsBank.  He began his career at First Trust Advisors, where he advised community banks on their investment portfolios.  Dave graduated summa cum laude from Wheaton College and earned his MBA in finance and entrepreneurship with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Lindsay Schneider

Ms. Schneider is a Partner and Head of RIA & Family Offices within Ares Wealth Management Solutions, which oversees Ares’ client management activities in the global wealth channel. Additionally, Ms. Schneider serves on the Ares Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. Prior to joining Ares in 2022, Ms. Schneider was an Executive Vice President on the Global Wealth Management Team at PIMCO, where she worked with registered investment advisors, multi-family offices as well as research and discretionary platforms at broker-dealers and banks. Additionally, she focused on business development for all product and vehicle offerings. Previously, Ms. Schneider was an Analyst in the Global Investment Opportunities Group at J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Ms. Schneider holds a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
