Big law firms have been in the news lately. One survey shoes a 44% pay gap between male and female partners. The reason given is that men are better at bringing in new business. HBR presented its annual list of the best performing CEOs and noted a distinct absence of female candidates, not because the women CEOs underperformed, but because among the 886 companies studied to produce the list, just 28 or 3% were led by women.
