Ms. Minch is Director of Finance at Hersh Family Investments where she oversees financial reporting, tax reporting, estate planning, compliance, accounting and various other administrative functions. Hersh Family Investments is a large family office located in Dallas, Texas that exists to enhance the financial, civic and philanthropic interests of the Kenneth A. Hersh family.
She also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Dallas for the Satish and Yasmin Gupta College of Business Graduate Program where she currently teaches a graduate level investments course and a graduate level derivatives course. The University of Dallas’ respected national reputation, challenging practiced-based curriculum designed for working professionals and its distinguished accreditations by the AACSB and SACS garnered the Dallas MBA recognition among the state’s most elite programs.
In addition, Ms. Minch serves as an advisory member to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) where she currently serves on the Investments Committee. The American Institute of CPAs is the world’s largest member association representing the accounting profession, with more than 418,000 members in 143 countries. AICPA members represent many areas of practice, including business and industry, public practice, government, education and consulting and has a history of serving the public interest since 1887.
Ms. Minch is also a member of the CFA Institute and volunteers with the local DFW/CFA Society where she is involved with the University Relations Committee and the Women in Investment Management (WIM) Initiative. CFA Institute is a global community of investment professionals with over 142,000 members in 159 countries with Member Societies in 73 countries. The University Relations Committee works closely with local colleges and universities to further the mission and vision of the CFA Institute and to embed a substantial portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge into their degree programs. The WIM Initiative is to increase the number of women who join the profession and earn the CFA® charter, to retain women in the profession and to create demand for diversity.
Prior to joining Hersh Family Investments, she spent many years in various roles within the finance and accounting industries. She started her professional career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen and then moved into strategic planning and finance at Greystone Communities. She spent a few years in Charlotte, NC where she performed various financial roles for small firms before moving back to Dallas, TX and starting her position at Hersh Family Investments.
Ms. Minch graduated, with honors, and received her B.B.A in Accounting and M.S. in Finance from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. She holds a CFA® charter, is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), in the State of Texas, and has the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation.
Outside her professional responsibilities, she enjoys fitness, outdoor activities and sports. She has a passion for jogging, volleyball and tennis. She is an avid traveler and visited over 40 U.S. states and over 15 foreign countries.
