Katie Stockton

Katie Stockton is Chief Technical Strategist for BTIG in New York City. She provides technical analysis to institutional clients with a top-down approach, employing multiple indicators to help identify trends and short-term trading opportunities. Prior to joining BTIG, Katie served as Chief Market Technician at MKM Partners and as a publishing analyst for the technical strategy group at Morgan Stanley. Katie’s career began in 1997 in San Francisco, where she worked as a technical analyst for Wit Soundview. She received her Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation in 2001, and is currently Vice President of the Market Technicians Association, a not-for-profit professional regulatory organization servicing over 4,500 market analysis professionals. Katie is a frequent guest on CNBC and is often quoted in the Wall Street Journal and financial newswires. Katie graduated magna cum laude with a BSBA from the University of Richmond.
