Barbara is a graduate of Sam Houston State University, a Certified Financial Planner™ and an Professional Certified Coach.  She began her career as a financial advisor in 1990 and for 20 years helped individuals realize their dreams through smart financial planning.  She did this working as an employee in large international companies such as Arthur Andersen and BBVA Compass and through her own financial planning firm which she later sold.
In 2008, 18 years into her career, a question began nagging at Barbara “Is this all there is?”  Working with a coach, Barbara was able to connect her passion for helping people grow with her strengths for strategizing and helping others build smart and efficient businesses.  She resigned from her J.O.B. in April 2010 and founded Accelus Partners, a firm that provides business and personal coaching to financial advisors and entrepreneurs.
Barbara is a native Texan and spent 4 years abroad working in Tokyo, Japan and Hong Kong.  She and her husband Ed now reside in Houston with their three cats.  By building her own smart and efficient business, Barbara is able to enjoy training and competing with her horse Usache in the sport of dressage.
