Joan Eischen

image001Joan Eischen is a Director for advisory services with KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory services firm. She is an International Business Development Specialist with more than 20 years’ experience working in complex product and services sales in Europe, Latin America and North America. She lived and worked in six countries on three continents, working in the manufacturing and energy sectors. Her professional experiences in male dominant industries led her to write her first book “Energy and the City” that profiles 31 senior executive women working in the energy industry, primarily in Houston. In the interviews she identifies three overarching themes that keep women stuck inside the talent pipeline. Eischen served three years on the board of Women’s Energy Network. She is on the advisory board for Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy (YWCPA). She earned a B.B.A. in International Business from the University of Wisconsin and specialized in Strategic Sales Management at the University of Chicago. She is fluent in Spanish and business proficient in Portuguese. Joan met her husband in Rio de Janeiro while working as an expat on assignment, married in Spain on her second expat assignment and continues to juggle a dual career household with two grown children and a granddaughter.
