
Mallory Smith, CPA, is a Senior Vice President at Stout, where she provides accounting and financial reporting advisory services to public and private companies across a range of industries, including blockchain and digital assets, power and utilities, renewable energy, and other regulated sectors. She advises clients on complex accounting and reporting matters such as business combinations, revenue recognition, adoption of new accounting standards, and SEC reporting requirements, and supports organizations through initial public offerings, SPAC transactions, and other capital markets transactions.
Mallory has deep expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and internal control readiness, including the design, documentation, and testing of controls for public company reporting. She works closely with executive leadership teams, audit committees, and in-house finance organizations to navigate regulatory requirements and operational change. Prior to joining Stout, Mallory was a Senior Manager in Audit & Assurance at Deloitte & Touche LLP and a recognized leader within the firm’s Blockchain and Digital Assets group. She holds Finance and Accounting degrees from the University of Iowa and is a Certified Public Accountant.
