Mr. Carter is a member of the Private Markets Investment Department. Mr. Carter leads the regionally-targeted investment vertical and manages such program relationships for clients in the states of Michigan, Colorado, and Florida, as well as others. He is located in the Austin office. Prior to joining GCM Grosvenor, Mr. Carter was a Principal in the Customized Fund Investment Group of Credit Suisse Group AG. He joined Credit Suisse in 2005. Previously, Mr. Carter was Senior Vice President with the Greater Columbus Chamber, providing strategic leadership and direction to operations while supporting regional economic development. Prior to that, Mr. Carter built and took public the world’s largest engineered fiberglass-reinforced products company as Co-Founder and Vice President of business development of Denali Incorporated. He also built the world’s largest integrated process equipment company as senior marketing officer for EnviroTech, a Baker Hughes company, and participated in over $1.4 billion in completed acquisitions and divestitures. Mr. Carter received his Bachelor of Science with honors in Mechanical Engineering in 1984 and his Master of Business Administration with honors in 1987 from The University of Texas at Austin.
