Ms. Dwight joined the Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company in April 2006. As General Counsel, she is responsible for drafting and negotiating contracts, investment agreements and other legal documents, working with outside counsel and advising the CEO and CIO on other legal issues.
Prior to joining the Trust Company, Ms. Dwight was in the private practice of law representing clients on legal issues ranging from employment to contract and financial matters. She also has extensive experience in the public sector as general counsel to the Commissioner of Insurance, general counsel to the Senate Committee on Health and Human Services, Assistant Attorney General handling financial, tax and other cases.
Marianne Dwight is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, holds a J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law and a BBA in accounting with honors from Texas A&M University.
Attorney, Vinson & Elkins LLP
Co-Chair – Dallas
Rebecca Petereit is an attorney at Vinson & Elkins LLP. Ms. Petereit’s primary area of practice includes all aspects of restructuring and reorganization work, including the representation of debtors, lenders, creditors and trustees. She has significant experience representing clients in contested matters and adversary proceedings before federal bankruptcy and district courts.
Ms. Petereit received her Bachelor of Science from University of Delaware (2002) and her Juris Doctor from UCLA Law (2005). She is admitted to practice in both California and Texas.
Chief Compliance Officer – RGT Wealth Advisors
Co-Chair – Dallas
Tiffany Ramirez is the Chief Compliance Officer for RGT Wealth Advisors (“RGT”), an independent wealth advisory firm with offices in Dallas, TX and Newport Beach, CA. Prior to joining RGT, Ms. Ramirez worked with an independent consulting firm that provides compliance consulting services to investment advisers and private fund managers. She was previously the Chief Compliance Officer of global private equity firm, Kildare Partners, and long/short equity hedge fund, Paradigm Advisors, LLC. Ms. Ramirez began her investment career at Carlson Capital.
Ms. Ramirez received her Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of Texas at Dallas (2004), where she is presently working on her MBA.
Ms. Ramirez is active in the Dallas investment community. She is a member of several professional organizations, including The Texas Hedge Fund Association, The DFW Compliance Roundtable, The National Society of Compliance Professionals, and Texas Wall Street Women. She currently serves Texas Wall Street Women as the co-chair of the Philanthropy Committee.
Senior Vice President, Macquarie Energy
Co-Chairman – Houston
Rachael is a Senior Vice President in the Energy Markets Division at Macquarie Energy focused on energy structuring and origination. Rachael works with power and gas clients to develop structured financing solutions with a focus on energy supply and has previous experience managing structured transactions and supply deals throughout their lifecycles. Rachael joined Macquarie in Houston in 2008 after previous experience supporting the derivatives trading desk at UBS in London and Sydney, Australia. Rachael began her career in equity operations at JP Morgan in Sydney, Australia. Rachael holds a Masters in Finance and a Bachelor of Business Studies with majors in Finance and Economics from Massey University, New Zealand.
Attorney, Haynes and Boone, LLP
Katy Shurin is a member of the Energy, Power and Natural Resources Practice Group in the Houston office of Haynes and Boone, LLP. Katy advises clients in the energy and commodities sectors on a wide array of complex transactional matters, including matters relating to commodities trading, commercial lending, project finance, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions, with a particular focus on the power, renewables, and upstream and midstream oil and gas industries.
Katy’s experience includes counseling investment banks, commodities trading firms, energy companies, private equity funds and other energy and commodities investors in structuring, analyzing and negotiating structured financings, credit facilities, physical and financial commodity hedging arrangements, power purchase agreements and other physical off-take agreements, joint ventures, and asset and stock purchase and sale agreements.
Prior to joining Haynes and Boone, Katy worked in New York as a capital markets and securities associate, where she represented publicly traded and privately held companies in connection with initial public offerings, secondary and follow-on offerings, shelf registrations, exchange offers, PIPEs, rights offerings, private placements and offerings pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S, and advised clients on SEC reporting and corporate governance matters.
Investment Analyst, Covenant Multifamily Offices, LLC
Chairman — San Antonio
Rebecca is the investment analyst at Covenant, a multi-family office with over $1 billion in assets under management. Prior to joining Covenant, Rebecca interned with UBS Financial Services and Edward Jones Investments.
Rebecca earned her finance degree from the Bill Greehey School of Business at St. Mary’s University. While at St. Mary’s, she co-founded the Investment Club and led the school’s Fair Trade campaign, making St. Mary’s the first Fair Trade University in the state of Texas. In addition, Rebecca served as Portfolio Manager for the University’s endowment fund.
Rebecca is continually learning and developing professionally; she is pursuing her CFA Charter, is co-founder of Women in Asset Management in San Antonio and is spearheading efforts to launch a TXWSW chapter in San Antonio.
