Lead Sector Manager, Teachers Retirement System of Texas
Chairman – Austin
Corina Scoggins, is the Lead Sector Manager, Global Consumer Research at the Teachers Retirement System of Texas, building on her prior role as the Portfolio Manager of the consumer staples and discretionary sectors on the US Large Cap Fund team. A move to Austin at the end of 1998 led to her transition from the sell-side to sector fund management, first as a Portfolio Manager at the Texas Permanent School Fund.
Before moving to Austin, Corina worked in Kansas City at George K. Baum & Company, training first as an associate analyst. She left George K. Baum in 1998 as a Vice President in Equity Research and moved to Austin to marry a guitar player.
Corina has over 15 years of investment experience, equally split between the sell-side and the buy-side. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a B.A. in French and Economics, and later studied for a Master’s of Arts at the University of Illinois-Springfield with an emphasis on environmental economics. Corina is a CFA Charterholder, and avid University of Kansas Basketball fan.

Capital Solutions Associate, ConvergEx Group
Co-Chairman – Dallas
Brianna Letzelter is the Capital Solutions Associate for ConvergEx Group in Dallas, TX. The Capital Solutions team provides customers with additional resources for their sales and marketing strategy. ConvergEx Prime Services offers a suite of services to assist managers in raising capital from investors such as family offices, fund of funds, wealth advisors, foundations, endowments and emerging manager platforms.
Previously, Brianna served as Director of Operations and Business Development for Park City Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund based in Dallas.
Prior to Park City Capital, she spent 3 years in New York City as an Operations Analyst for Highbridge Capital Management, a $25 billion alternative management investment firm founded in 1992.
In 2010, Brianna received her B.A. in Finance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
Ms. Letzelter is active in the Dallas community. She is on the Texas Hedge Fund Association committee, a member of Young Texans Against Cancer (YTAC) and a member of Slipper Club.
Charitable Planning Associate, Fidelity Investments
Chairman – Fort Worth
Allison is a Charitable Planning Associate for Fidelity Investments. She began her career with Fidelity as a Regional Investment Consultant in 2010 and was quickly promoted to the Fidelity Branch in Fort Worth as a Financial Representative. In April 2014, Fidelity Charitable (a Donor-Advised Fund) asked Allison to join their group in Westlake, Texas.
Allison received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Red McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, she is a Registered Securities Representative (FINRA Series 7 and 63). She is an active member of the Junior League of Fort Worth, Christ Chapel Bible Church, Arlington Heights Neighborhood Association and volunteers with the YWCA Fort Worth & Tarrant County. Allison enjoys playing golf, softball, shooting sporting clays and coaches a kickball team.
Allison married an Aggie, Harrison, in 2012 and they currently reside in Fort Worth.
Brett Ashley Longoria
Senior Portfolio Analyst at Avalon Advisors, LLC
Chairman – Houston
Brett Ashley Longoria is a Senior Portfolio Analyst at Avalon Advisors, LLC focusing on alternatives as well as family office services. She joined Avalon in December of 2011 as a Client Advisory Assistant and in 2012 became a Client Advisory Analyst. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University, with a B.A. in American Studies. Brett Ashley serves as the President of the Periwinkle Foundation Friends Board and is a volunteer for the Theta Charity Antiques Show and the Houston Alumnae of Kappa Alpha Theta.
Investment Analyst, Covenant Multifamily Offices, LLC
Chairman — San Antonio
Rebecca is the investment analyst at Covenant, a multi-family office with over $1 billion in assets under management. Prior to joining Covenant, Rebecca interned with UBS Financial Services and Edward Jones Investments.
Rebecca earned her finance degree from the Bill Greehey School of Business at St. Mary’s University. While at St. Mary’s, she co-founded the Investment Club and led the school’s Fair Trade campaign, making St. Mary’s the first Fair Trade University in the state of Texas. In addition, Rebecca served as Portfolio Manager for the University’s endowment fund.
Rebecca is continually learning and developing professionally; she is pursuing her CFA Charter, is co-founder of Women in Asset Management in San Antonio and is spearheading efforts to launch a TXWSW chapter in San Antonio.
