Julia Wada is group vice president, Strategy, Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion and Business Technology Solutions at Toyota Financial Services (TFS). In this role, Wada is responsible for effective strategy development, workforce, workplace & information technology development and operations, and the integration of diversity & inclusion throughout TFS. She also oversees the Real Estate and Operational Excellence teams. Wada serves on the Management Committee and reports to Mike Groff, president and CEO.
Prior to joining Toyota, Wada worked as a program manager & engineer for Lockheed Missiles & Space Corporation. She joined Toyota in 1991, starting with Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) as part of the Graduate Management Associate program. At TMS, she served the company in several areas including product planning, pricing, sales planning and long-range planning. Wada moved to TFS in 1999, and has served the company in various leadership roles including as national strategic planning manager, corporate manager, TFS Strategy and eBusiness, vice president, Human Resources and Real Estate and group vice president, Human Resources & Business Technology Solutions.
Wada earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and her Master’s degree in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Wada serves on the board of directors for the Japan America Society of Dallas Fort Worth and the Toyota Foundation. She is also an executive advisor for Toyota’s business partnering groups.
